About

Hello! I love myself and I love my bike and I want to encourage more people to do the same. Especially women like me who are how to put this lightly, FAT.   Just because you don’t want to wear spandex doesn’t mean you shouldn’t ride a bike. I wanted to write a blog about my experiences commuting and branching out in hopes of one day touring.

My Basic philosophy is simply to ride everyday.  Riding everyday doesn’t mean ride 50 miles everyday.  Riding everyday means ride somewhere even up the street and back.  The important part to me is it becomes habit.  The more you ride the farther you go and the the father you want to go.

I want to include information about basic bike repair. Techniques I’ve learned for better riding as a heavier person as well as events and musings. I plan to work on this as much as I can. I am a student who also has bills to pay so from time to time this may take a bit of a backseat.

If you have any questions for me don’t hesitate to ask!

in mtbr.com forums or bikeforums.net you’ll find a lot of tips about basic repair (wathever: races bikes, city bikes, mountain bikes, and so on). they’re enthusiasts with infinitive knowledges.

in spain foromtb.com is very famous

    cheers!

I commend what you are trying to do here. Cycling should be an option for everyone regardless of their sex, age or body type. I wish every city could be like Amsterdam – full of ‘normal people on bikes’.

And by the way… stop calling yourself fat!

If I use the word fat more people tend to find this blog. Tank your for the compliments by the way. I enjoy your blog too.
I’m lucky to live a city that is so supportive of cycling in all it’s forms and all shapes of people.
Thank you again. I keep getting more hits every month so I must be doing something right.
