I have one week to finish up at school; then it’s off to the great dry east. This time I will be prepared. This time I will ride the Sacagawea Heritage Trail Loop, and I will ride it with a spare tube and a travel pump. I thought perhaps Maya Lin‘s Confluence Project was Finished at Sacagawea Park but it looks as though I am wrong. If you aren’t aware of this project and you live in the Pacific Northwest it is sure worth a look. And If you’ve never been to Sacagawea State Park it’s one of the gems in the area.
Mostly I was doing some reading up and trying to figure out what nice rides I’ll go on while I spend a week or two in the Columbia Basin with my camera. If you have any suggestions let me know.
Now had to study time.
A man driving a Jeep last night lost control of his Jeep and jumped the sidewalk and struck a 42 year old mother of three. The Oregonian is reporting on this and says:
“Temple has been arrested on accusations of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and second-degree manslaughter.”
After recent event I had to ask myself in anything would happen to the driver. I’m glad to they are being charger but very sad to see this happen. I wish things where this cut and dry in bike related crashes.
Update: Of course the day after a pedestrian was killer a cyclist had to be hit too. This has turned out to be quite a year. Read all about it here.
I am a full time student if you didn’t know; this means that I am in finals mode right now. Basically I’m doing a lot reading and writing about non-bike things. I also get to have non-bike fun.
I’ve got two weeks to go.
